It All Started in Thailand
Back in 2009, after dropping out of college at the age of 21, John Crestani fled to Thailand.
On a quest to ‘find himself’, while surviving off a small family loan, John turned to spiritual books for guidance. However, among reading The Bible & the Bhagavad Gita (Hindu scripture), he stumbled across a business book called ‘The 4-Hour Work Week‘ by Tim Ferriss. It was this book that sparked John to create his business empire.
“I was at a point in my life where I had very little direction, didn’t know where I was going, and had this void,” says John. “I thought ‘This sounds freaking awesome and I want to do it.’”
The 4 Hour Work Week
This classic business book, written by Tim Ferriss, is a manual to breaking free from the 9-5 working life, by building a business and creating the lifestyle you desire.
Tim’s mission is to teach the reader how to stop trading time for money. He shares advice on how to build a business that, over time, can operate almost entirely by itself. Essentially meaning, that you only need to work 4-hours a week.
The book is packed with tested methods and tips to help you gain control of your work and life. And, this is precisely what John Crestani did.
John leveraged his skills to create a digital marketing empire that generates $500,000 every month. Using Tim Ferriss’ book as a reference, John can travel the world and work wherever he wants, whenever he wants.

Years of Failure Before Success
Don’t be fooled; this was no overnight success story. John Crestani explained he experienced years of false starts and failed ideas, before reaching success.
His first attempt at being an entrepreneur was selling products on eBay; a business that was generating a healthy $2,000 per month. However, despite being profitable, his company ran into problems when Paypal refused to release his funds.
It turns out that John was selling products that didn’t comply with Paypal’s terms and conditions. This eventually resulted in Paypal shutting down his account.
After re-enrolling in school, John was soon on to business number two. Using his technical skill and know-how, John found a way to gain access to the test answers for every online in his university.
“I had all the answers, and sold that knowledge” says John. “It was a weird feeling. I never realized a PDF file could be so valuable. It was my first experience of trading knowledge for money,”
John made $1,000 in one single day selling these PDF’s. But, as you can probably guess, the business didn’t last very long. And, as a result, John ended up getting suspended from his school.
Getting Fired
A year on, John put his business dreams on hold and decided to get a “real job” (in other words a nine-to-five job). He was working for a marketing firm out in Los Angeles. It was here that John learned about pay-per-click advertising and how to create engaging digital ads.
Within no time, John has mastered his new craft, and he managed to multiply a clients business 40x (that’s huge!). At this point, he was bringing his firm more than $110,000 in sales every month; making him a star within the company.
Recognizing his value within the company, John decided to ask for a pay rise. It seemed like a pretty reasonable ask, considering the amount of money he was making for the firm. But, to John’s surprise, his proposal was declined.
“My boss looked at me across the table when I asked for the raise and said, ‘Or what?’” Says John
John was left feeling flabbergasted and unappreciated; and, from that point on, his performance went on the decline. His heart and passion were no longer in his job, and he was eventually fired.
Despite the numerous setbacks and failures, Crestani’s ultimate goal of running a multi-million dollar business was now back in action. But, this time, things would be different.
Finally Hitting Success
John was confident of three things. He knew that he had mastered marketing and online advertising. He knew he wanted to travel the world. And, he knew he never wanted to work for someone else again.
Armed with a new range of digital marketing skills, and the lessons from ‘The Four our Work Week’, John began to build his online empire.
John Crestani’s Secret Strategy
Instead of spending precious time and money to develop his own products, John discovered that he could make way better profit margins from promoting other companies’ products. It also required the least time and effort.
John’s company receives a percentage of the profit for every product he sells. For example, John gets $40 for every $90 product he sells. In the industry, this is called affiliate marketing.
But, here’s the real secret sauce…
John Crestani realized that by cloning himself, he could double his workflow and income. He started recording his expert advertising secrets and creating step-by-step presentations to send to his team. Being able to bottle and duplicate his results became a significant part of his success.
“Every million-dollar ad campaign I launch, I record myself obsessively on my computer in the creation process. I pass the modules along to my team and make sure they can do a job just as good as I can.”
This secret strategy ended John with a business that he could scale whenever he wanted and work whenever he wanted. He had built the ultimate business he dreamed of after reading “The 4-Hour Work Week”.
